Matthew Morton
Director
Matthew has significant experience in building and civil engineering, particularly in the utility and health sectors of the construction industry. For the last five years he has led a commercial management team within South East Water’s integrated engineering department undertaking all aspects of pre and post contract cost and contract management in relation to South East Water’s £300m AMP5 capital investment programme.
From 1996 – 1998 he was commercial manager for Southern Water’s mains renovation programme valued at circa £18m per annum, delivering renovated water mains to areas of Hampshire, Sussex and Kent. Previous to this he was seconded to Coastal Wastewater Consultants (Mott MacDonald / Southern Water joint venture) as commercial manager for the pre-construction phase of the £120m Dover and Folkestone Wastewater Treatment Works scheme.
In the building sector Matthew has fulfilled the role of Employers Agent for Social Housing and Health schemes, and also that of Cost Advisor for several Procure 21 hospital development schemes.
Experienced in all forms of building and civil engineering contracts, Matthew specialises in the drafting and administration of the NEC suite of contracts. He has been responsible for the development and implementation of long term procurement and contract strategies for a number of Clients.
Given the rare opportunity, Matthew is a keen golfer and gardener. He enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and pet Beagle at their home on the Kent coast.
